Theravex Tissue Care Plus & Theravex Oral Care

Theravex Oral Care Plus (BBL Mouthwash):

A published randomized controlled trial compared Theravex’s BBL-based oral rinse with the gold-standard chlorhexidine (CHX) rinse in post-surgical patients . In 81 patients over 7 days, both rinses were effective in reducing pain, but Theravex showed a statistically significant greater reduction in pain starting on day 4 and onwards . Importantly, Theravex did not cause the common side effects seen with CHX – patients had no tooth staining, no taste disturbances, and no mucosal irritations . By contrast, CHX users experienced obvious teeth staining and sometimes mild tongue irritation (as is known with CHX). Early wound healing index scores were better in the Theravex group, indicating the BBL technology actively improved the healing quality of the gum tissue. These clinical findings validate that Theravex Oral Care Plus is not only as safe as standard care, but more effective in enhancing patient comfort and speeding recovery.

Theravex Tissue Care Plus (Surgical Use):

The efficacy of Tissue Care Plus is supported by both clinical usage and laboratory studies. In a preclinical animal study (Foxhound dog model), dental implants were placed with and without BBL surface treatment.

The results were striking – implants pre-treated with the BBL solution had significantly improved outcomes:
for example, crestal bone loss around implants was much lower in the BBL group at 8 and 12 weeks compared to controls .

Histologically, the BBLtreated implants showed greater new bone formation and more robust soft tissue integration (thicker, healthier gum tissue at the implant site).
The BBL essentially created a more biocompatible implant surface by increasing wettability and facilitating protein/cell adhesion .

In practical surgical terms, this means using Theravex Tissue Care Plus on an implant or surgical site can lead to a stronger, faster integration of tissue. Clinicians have also reported case series where severe peri-implantitis sites treated with open debridement and BBL irrigation healed with reattached gum tissue and reduced pocket depths, showing clinical proof of concept of regeneration.
Additional studies are in progress, including collaborations with universities and implant companies, to further quantify how much Tissue Care Plus can improve surgical success rates. Early data already highlights it as a significant advancement in regenerative oral surgery.
